Group Home Coordinator-New Hope House

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an opening for a Full Time Program Coordinator for our women’s group home New Hope House.

 

Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Assume responsibility for management of the Group Home, including adherence to program policies, procedures, and house rules
  • Plan and execute weekly schedule of activities for clients
  • Supervise staff of employees
  • Complete paperwork for agency and state requirements
  • Maintain client records
  • Schedule admissions interviews

Administrative Assistant-Executive Director’s Office-Harrison County

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director.  The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support services to the Executive Director
  • Coordinate grant development, application, and submission
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials
  • Screen incoming telephone calls
  • Prepare and distribute monthly meeting minutes

Qualifications:

Residential Therapist-Crossroads Recovery Center-Gulfport, MS

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an immediate opening for a Residential Therapist at Crossroads Recovery Center.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling for in-patient drug treatment clients
  • Plan, organize, and conduct group therapy sessions
  • Complete all records, progress notes, etc. in a timely manner
  • Monitor progress of assigned clients
  • Assume supervision of clients while on duty

Medical Secretary-Harrison County Office

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an immediate opening for a Medical Secretary in our Harrison County Office.  The hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Schedule/confirm appointments for clients referred to the medication clinic
  • Answer a high volume of incoming calls providing a variety of routine informational and technical answers
  • Maintain clinical records and charts
  • Data entry of client information
  • Handle correspondence
  • Audit charts

  • Communicate with pharmacy
  • Complete Prior Authorizations for clients
  • Perform UDS’s

Qualifications:

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Part-Time

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has openings for 2-3 Part-Time PMHNP’s.  These positions can be located in any of the four counties that GCMHC serves (Harrison, Hancock, Pearl River, and Stone).

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide adult, children, and adolescent psychiatric evaluations
  • Provide psychiatric medication evaluations
  • Provide medication prescriptions appropriate for the treatment of psychiatric illnesses
  • Complete medical records in accordance with GCMHC policies
  • Participate in treatment planning with Mental Health Clinicians

Qualifications:

  • Posses a Master’s of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in psychiatric mental health
  • Posses a current, non restricted, Mississippi state Board of Nursing License

Harrison County 2 positions in Adult Services 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Pearl River County 2 positions in Outpatient Therapy serving both Children and Adult Clients

Director-Gulf Coast Industries

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an opening for a Director at Gulf Coast Industries.  Gulf Coast Industries is an adult IDD program which provides Pre-Vocational and Adult Day Services per Mississippi Department of Mental Health Standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise staff
  • Plan and schedule training and work activities including assignment of staff responsibilities and grouping of clients.
  • Procure contracts for work activities for clients
  • Responsible for program records and reporting
  • Conduct client and care-giver conferences as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a Mental Health related field (for this position a Master’s Degree in Special Education will suffice)
  • Eligibility to receive professional licensure
  • Managerial experience in a Mental Health or IDD program

MCERT Therapist

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has two openings for Full Time MCERT Therapists in Harrison and Stone/Pearl River Counties.

Duties for these positions include but are not limited to:

  • Cover Crisis Walk-ins in County Offices in Stone, Pearl River, Hancock, and Harrison Counties
  • Provide 24 hour, 7-days a week coverage for after hours crisis calls both via telephone and onsite (as requested)
  • Pre-evaluation screening for involuntary commitments
  • Complete Mental Health Assessments
  • Provide direct services, support, and education to clients including linkage to resources and advocacy within community settings
  • Must complete all required trainings as outlined by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a Mental Health related field
  • Eligibility for professional licensure
  • Dependable transportation with full insurance coverage (must provide proof of insurance coverage)
  • 1-2 years experience working in crisis intervention

Intensive Community Support Specialist-Mental Health Clinician

GCMHC has an immediate opening for an ICSS Therapist.  This position can be located in Pearl River, Hancock, or Harrison County.  The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Duties:

    1. Psychotherapy and evaluations consistent with training.
    2. Consultation/Education services within the scope of clinical expertise.
    3. Provide direct services, support and education to clients including linkage to resources and advocacy within community settings.
    4. Coordinate after-care appointments including therapy, resources and medical clinic.
    5. Track caseload and retention rate of clients being re-admitted to the hospital.
    6. Supervises clinical staff as assigned, including interns.
    7. Maintenance of medical records and all job-related record keeping in accordance with both center policy and DMH standards.
    8. Participation in Center committees as assigned.
    9. Perform other clinical duties as they arise and are assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

    1. Minimum of Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other mental health related field.
    2. Eligibility for professional licensure.
    3. Relevant internship program as part of training or three years job related experience.
    4. Diagnostic and evaluation skills consistent with training.
    5. Intervention skills on individual, couples, family, and group level.
    6. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
    7. Ability to pass a background check as required by state law

Psychiatric Technicians-Crisis Stabilization Unit

Immediate openings are available for 4 Part Time (PRN) Psychiatric Technicians at the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Gulfport.  Part Time (PRN) Psychiatric Technicians will be scheduled one to two shifts per pay period, and will be expected to cover shifts due to call outs or scheduled time off.

Duties:

  • Assist clients with required ADL to include shaving, feeding, bathing, dressing, and elimination, if necessary.
  • Supervises and monitors client behavior.
  • Assists in monitoring the physical standards to ensure a safe, healthy living environment.
  • Assists with and supervises meals, snacks, visitation, telephone use, recreational, and social activities.
  • Assists clients in orientation and discharge or transfer from CSU.
  • Deals effectively with physically and verbally combative clients to include verbal de-escalation as well as physical crisis intervention.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of High School Diploma or GED required
  • Obtain CPR and Crisis Intervention training within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state law

Community Support Services-Harrison and Stone Counties

Immediate openings are available for Community Support Services Specialists (Case Managers) in Harrison County and Stone County.  There is one opening in Harrison County located at the Main Office in Gulfport and one opening at the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Gulfport, MS.  There is one opening in Stone County located in Wiggins, MS.

Duties for these positions include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and willingness to use own transpiration in order to access clients in their homes
  • Maintain current unrestricted driver’s license and maintain current auto insurance
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Provide direct services, support, and education to clients including linkage to resources and advocacy within community settings
  • Maintain caseloads in accordance with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

School Based Clinician-Harrison County

There is an immediate opening available for a School Based Clinician in the Harrison County School District.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Complete assessments, provide individual/family therapy sessions in the school and Center settings, and provide crisis services, consultations, and other collaborations in the school setting
  • Responsible for development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Maintain client records in accordance with state and federal law
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, school staff meetings, and in-service training

Qualifications-Required

  • Master’s Degree in behavioral science, social work, psychology, or other mental health related field

An immediate opening is available for a Full Time Billing Supervisor at Gulf Coast Mental Health Center’s Main Office located in Gulfport, MS.  The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise a staff of 3-4 billing and data entry clerks
  • Ensure service providers are properly credentialed
  • Train and guide staff in all counties on billing procedures
  • Respond to client billing and insurance questions and address any concerns
  • Post payments, account adjustments, and record miscellaneous receipts
  • Maintain master files
  • Other duties as assigned by the CFO

Qualifications-Required:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED (proof of education is required)

  • Prior experience in billing

Qualifications-Preferred:

  • RHIA, CPB, CMRS, or like billing credential
