Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center is accepting applications for a CFO.  The successful candidate with perform the duties of a CFO as well as a Controller within the agency.  This position is that of a working CFO who will ensure the financial health of the agency in all aspects.

Duties of the CFO include but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance and oversight for the billing department.
  • Responsible for monthly grant submissions.
  • Oversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Work closely with the CEO to ensure the financial health of the agency.
  • Provide annual budgets for the agency.
  • Deliver monthly financial reports to the Board of Commissioners.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience related to the candidate’s ability to work through people and processes to appropriately secure and allocate resources for the entity.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating the financial operations, not limited to, but including accounting, revenues, and financing of an outpatient healthcare entity.

Executive Director/CEO

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center is accepting applications for an Executive Director/CEO.  

Duties of the Executive Director/CEO include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall leadership of Gulf Coast Mental Health Center.
  • Ensure that all standards as set forth by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health are being met by the agency.
  • Work closely with the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to prepare annual budgets and ensure compliance in all areas of financial management.
  • Represent the agency as required, including attending monthly Executive Director meetings, attending meetings with the agency’s Board of Commissioners, attending County Boards of Supervisor meetings, and attending other community meetings and events related to mental health concerns in Region 13. 

The Executive Director/CEO must meet the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from and accredited college or university in public or business administration, hospital or health care administration, education or in a mental health or related field.
  • A minimum of three years administrative experience in services related to mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities or substance use disorders services.

Residential Therapist-Crossroads Recovery Center-Gulfport, MS

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an immediate opening for a Residential Therapist at Crossroads Recovery Center.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling for in-patient drug treatment clients
  • Plan, organize, and conduct group therapy sessions
  • Complete all records, progress notes, etc. in a timely manner
  • Monitor progress of assigned clients
  • Assume supervision of clients while on duty
  • Conduct family counseling sessions

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a Mental Health related field
  • Eligible to obtain professional licensure
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state law

Mental Health Clinicians-Harrison and Pearl River Counties

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has openings in Harrison and Pearl River Counties for Outpatient Mental Health Clinicians.

Harrison County 2 positions in Adult Services 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Pearl River County 2 positions in Outpatient Therapy serving both Children and Adult Clients

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • To provide individual, couples, family, and/or group counseling consistent with training
  • To provide psychological assessments as needed
  • To complete all medical records and other paperwork promptly and in accordance with Center policy
  • To provide consultation-education services when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a Mental Health related field
  • Eligibility for professional licensure

MCERT Therapist

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has two openings for Full Time MCERT Therapists in Harrison and Stone/Pearl River Counties.

Duties for these positions include but are not limited to:

  • Cover Crisis Walk-ins in County Offices in Stone, Pearl River, Hancock, and Harrison Counties
  • Provide 24 hour, 7-days a week coverage for after hours crisis calls both via telephone and onsite (as requested)
  • Pre-evaluation screening for involuntary commitments
  • Complete Mental Health Assessments
  • Provide direct services, support, and education to clients including linkage to resources and advocacy within community settings
  • Must complete all required trainings as outlined by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a Mental Health related field
  • Eligibility for professional licensure
  • Dependable transportation with full insurance coverage (must provide proof of insurance coverage)
  • 1-2 years experience working in crisis intervention
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state law

Registered Nurse-Part Time/PRN

There are immediate openings for 4 Part-Time/PRN Registered Nurses at the Crisis Stabilization Unit located in Gulfport, MS.

Duties:

  • Provide nursing assessments for SCU clients.
  • Administer all medications.
  • Obtain samples as ordered.
  • Assist in client orientation and discharge/transfer processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a current, non-restricted, Mississippi State Board of Nursing License for a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state law.

Psychiatric Technicians-Crisis Stabilization Unit

Immediate openings are available for 4 Part Time (PRN) Psychiatric Technicians at the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Gulfport.  Part Time (PRN) Psychiatric Technicians will be scheduled one to two shifts per pay period, and will be expected to cover shifts due to call outs or scheduled time off.

Duties:

  • Assist clients with required ADL to include shaving, feeding, bathing, dressing, and elimination, if necessary.
  • Supervises and monitors client behavior.
  • Assists in monitoring the physical standards to ensure a safe, healthy living environment.
  • Assists with and supervises meals, snacks, visitation, telephone use, recreational, and social activities.
  • Assists clients in orientation and discharge or transfer from CSU.
  • Deals effectively with physically and verbally combative clients to include verbal de-escalation as well as physical crisis intervention.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of High School Diploma or GED required
  • Obtain CPR and Crisis Intervention training within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state law

School Based Clinician-Harrison County

There is an immediate opening available for a School Based Clinician in the Harrison County School District.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Complete assessments, provide individual/family therapy sessions in the school and Center settings, and provide crisis services, consultations, and other collaborations in the school setting
  • Responsible for development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Maintain client records in accordance with state and federal law
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, school staff meetings, and in-service training
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the School Based Services Coordinator

Qualifications-Required

  • Master’s Degree in behavioral science, social work, psychology, or other mental health related field
  • Professional License, i.e., PCMHT, CMHT, LMSW, LPC, LMFT-A, LMFT, or LCSW
  • Ability to pass a background check per state law

Qualifications-Preferred

  • Experience in diagnosing problematic moods, behaviors, and family disfunctions
  • Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, parenting skills, psychological theory, and cultural influences

Program Assistant-Crossroads Recovery Center-Gulfport

Immediate openings available for 2 Full Time employees and 1 Part Time employee at Crossroads Recovery Center located in Gulfport, MS.  The full time shifts available are 3p-11p and 11p-7a.  The part time shifts available are primarily for afternoons and evenings primarily Friday-Sunday.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Transport and supervise residential drug treatment clients during planned field trips and appointments
  • Complete client progress notes in accordance with program guidelines
  • Provide guidance and support to clients as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Residential Director

Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED (proof of education is required)
  • Valid MS Driver’s License and insurable for driving.  Must obtain a Class D license within 30 days of hire.
  • Prior experience in a residential drug treatment facility desirable.
  • Ability to pass a background check per state law
